About the role
Albion Hospitality supplies vetted front and back of house staff to hotels, restaurants and event venues across London. We are looking for an experienced Front of House Team Leader to lead our guest-facing teams at premium evening events.
If you have looked after guests at black tie dinners, launches or awards nights, and you are the person others look to when the doors open, this role is for you.
Before doors open
- Arrive before your team and check the floor, entrance and registration area
- Brief the team on the running order, guest flow, VIP arrivals and seating plan
- Give each team member a clear position: entrance, registration, cloakroom route, floor
- Check dress code and presentation before guests arrive
During the event
- Lead guest arrivals, red carpet entrances and registration against the guest list
- Make sure VIP guests are recognised, welcomed and taken where they need to be
- Manage seating and help guests find their tables quickly and calmly
- Move your team around the floor as the evening changes
- Deal with late arrivals, name issues and last-minute changes without fuss
Working with our operations team
- Keep the Albion operations management team updated before, during and after each event
- Report any issues straight away, from a late team member to a change in timings
- Be the main on-site link between the client's event contact and the Albion team
- Flag any extra time needed at the end of the event so it can be approved
After the event
- Make sure guests leave smoothly and the team clears their areas
- Sign the team out and send a short event report to the operations team
What you will bring
- At least 1 year leading front of house, hosting, reception or event teams
- Confident, warm and clear with guests, clients and your team
- Calm under pressure when 100+ guests arrive at once
- Excellent presentation, timekeeping and reliability
- Available for evening and weekend work
- Full right to work in the UK (checked before your first shift)
Nice to have
- Experience with guest lists, check-in apps or VIP protocol
- A second language
